đź“– Content Flow
1. The Spirit of God vs. Ancestral Spirits
• Ancestral spirits → spirits of the dead believed to continue living among societies.
• Spirit of God → pure, holy, and the power that activates life in human beings.
• The Spirit of God has no darkness; ancestral spirits are limited and deceptive.
2. World Spirits and Spiritualism
• Spiritualism is the practice of using dead spirits to commune for evil purposes.
• Worship of the dead is forbidden — only God deserves worship.
• The dead cannot speak or interact with the living; dreams of loved ones are natural memories, but the devil can use them to deceive.
3. Causes of Human Misery, Sickness, and Poverty
Human suffering originates from three sources:
1. God our Creator. Allows suffering to:
• Draw people closer to Him.
• Demonstrate His power.
• Remind humanity of its dependence on Him.
• Strengthen His children.
• Teach humility (“we are but dust”).
2. Man’s Schemes
• Power of the tongue: life and death are spoken into existence.
• Faithlessness leads to pride, arrogance, and destruction.
• Evil choices invite destruction upon oneself.
3. The Devil
• Uses people as agents to spread death, sickness, and evil.
• Keeps many trapped in strongholds of sin and suffering.
• Works through mediums and lusts to fulfill his agenda.
4. Freedom in Christ
Are we free from these three sources of suffering? Yes.
• When we separate from the world and come to God.
• When we resist evil and do good.
• When we obey God and ask for His mercy.
• When we remain steadfast in Jesus Christ.
Freedom requires wisdom, discernment, and forsaking false friends. True liberty is found only in Christ.
Key Takeaways
• The Spirit of God is pure and life-giving; ancestral spirits are deceptive.
• Spiritualism and worship of the dead lead to bondage.
• Suffering originates from God’s discipline, man’s schemes, and the devil’s attacks.
• Freedom is possible through obedience, wisdom, and faith in Jesus Christ.
