The Earth’s land surface is divided into seven continents: Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia. Each continent differs in size, population, climate, and cultural significance. Comparing them side by side helps learners understand global diversity and geography.
The largest continent is Asia, while the smallest is Australia.
Asia has the highest population, while Antarctica has no permanent population.
Africa has the most countries (54).
Europe is small but historically influential.
South America is rich in biodiversity and natural resources.
North America is economically powerful and geographically diverse.
Antarctica is unique for its icy climate and scientific importance.
"Continents Fact Match"
Step 1: Provide learners with cards showing continent names.
Step 2: Provide another set of cards with facts (e.g., “Mount Everest,” “Amazon Rainforest,” “54 countries”).
Step 3: Learners match each fact card to the correct continent.
Step 4: Discuss how these features make each continent unique.
👉 This activity reinforces memory and helps learners connect continents with their defining features.
